The Qatar Civil Defense Department (QCDD) sets and enforces the standards that mechanical ventilation and generator systems must meet. For any commercial building, QCDD sign-off is a condition of occupancy — not an afterthought.

What QCDD covers

Smoke extraction, stairwell pressurization, car-park ventilation and emergency power are all within scope. Each must be designed, installed, tested and certified to demonstrate it will perform during an emergency.

The inspection process

Inspections verify that installed systems match approved drawings, that airflow and pressure targets are met, and that controls and interlocks behave correctly under fault conditions. Detailed test reports accompany the certification.

How Auburn helps

As a QCDD-certified contractor for both ACMV systems and generators, Auburn handles inspections and the documentation that comes with them — so building owners get a compliant, occupancy-ready result without the back-and-forth.
